About me

My name is Antonio Solinas, I was born on December 11th 1995 in the north of Sardegna.

I’ve grown up in Porto Torres, a small city in the Asinara’s gulf. I feel very close to my island. I think of it as one of the best places one could ever wish to live in. Our culture and our way of life are quite unique and deserve to be experienced at least once in a lifetime. Living in Sardegna taught me to respect my roots and my traditions, to feel one with the nature in a timeless land that talks to whom can listen to it. As much as I enjoy getting in touch with different cultures, it’s still amazing to have such a great place to go back to whenever I want to really feel at peace with the world. I feel lucky to call it home.

Since my earliest days, I’ve shown to be a particularly curious kid, I had uncommon and very wide areas of interest and a way of thinking that was quite unusual among children my age.

When I was a very little kid and I was often driven around by my parents, I had so much fun looking around outside the car window that I had associated all the car emblems to the respective makes by memory. With everyone’s surprise, after a short while I was able to name every single car brand just by looking at the emblem (and there was more than a couple of them; or at least way more than you would expect the little critter I was at the time to be able to keep in mind).

I have a lot of fun little stories like this about the odd way my brain works in, but I’ll keep the details for another time. What’s important to know is that luckily I don’t spend my time memorizing car emblems anymore, but the constant need for cognitive stimulation has grown and evolved with me to this day: I find myself comfortable in context in which logical and analytical thinking is needed; but I also absolutely love deep conversations and real human connections in which people can get to discover the beauty that lies deep in each other as well. We human beings are too fascinating as creatures to end up discussing the weather anyway.

Throughout the years, facing the challenges and learning from them, I have embraced my way of thinking more and more and made it my biggest strength, deciding not to limit my horizons when it comes to personal growth and learning new things, and to live along the way my brain works.

That’s why I have explored multiple fields and gathered very different skills throughout my life. I think that curiosity is a phenomenal motor when it comes to personal growth, and it is the quality that I look for the most in other people. I have genuine fun in learning new things because I think that’s the best way to get in contact with all the beauty that the world has to offer, whether it is in science, in nature or in someone else’s smile.

I live every instant with great emotional intensity, I am a passionate and enthusiastic person, and I am eager to experience everything that I can in my lifetime. Life is too short not to enjoy every single moment of it. It is precious and should be treated as such.

Let’s live up to it.
